Taste Of Tattoo Music Show Given Go-Ahead

A huge musical event set to bring in thousands of visitors to the area will go ahead - despite a funding setback.

There had been fears that the free "Taste of the Tattoo" bash at Dumfries House, a spin-off to the popular Edinburgh Tattoo, would have to be scrapped after the Minerals Trust rejected an application - believed to be for £40,000 - from Dumfries House Trust.

But Ayrshire Council officials who are helping bring the national event to Cumnock say the show will go on.
