Sixth Application Blow

A storm of protest greeted a sixth windfarm proposal at Dalmellington.

Swedish renewable company Vattenfall held an open day in the village last week after announcing the South Kyle Windfarm project.

Residents are angry though that just months after the same application was vetoed by Scottish Government Ministers, they face another fight.

Mark Gibson of Craigengillan Estate said: 'This is the sixth time we"ve had to fight a development of this nature.'
