Call for further traffic calming in Hearth Road after a seven-year-old girl is hit by car

Angry parents in Cumnock are demanding action over speeding drivers in their street.

The call comes after seven year old Amber Young was knocked down by a speeding car in Hearth Road.

Amber from Greenmill Primary School was not seriously hurt but parents are anxious over the incident.

Mum, Carol Young said: 'It shouldn"t take an accident or someone being killed before the council accept that something needs to be done about this road.'
