BBC TV"s Antiques Roadshow comes to Dumfries House this Thursday (July 10) and residents are urged to bring their treasures for the experts to examine.

This will be the stately home"s first major event since Prince Charles flung open the doors to the public in June.

Fiona Bruce will be among the presenters poring over antiques from Ayrshire and beyond.

Entry is free to the roadshow but does not include a tour of the house.

There is no parking at Dumfries House but a free Park and ride will be on offer from Cumnock Academy from 8.15am onwards.

The roadshow runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
