Loved ones say they have been kept in the dark over tragedy
Two families left devastated by deaths at an opencast site are to make an official complaint to the Crown Office over the time it has taken to find answers.
Nearly 18 months have passed since the deaths of Brian French and Colin Ferguson at the Pennyvenie opencast site near Dalmellington but the families are no nearer to the official closure over the tragedy.
The families of both men have confirmed they are sending a letter to Lord Advocate Elish Angiolini to complain about the handling of the case.
The letter will be signed by the partners of Brian French and Colin Ferguson.
