Ochiltree Community Council are to provide a platform for people in the village to put forward ideas to help revitalise the community.
A special meeting has been set up for Friday, March 3, to discuss various different options for regenerating and generally tidying up the village.
And the Community Council hope that everyone comes together to lend their support and ideas, before they look at the various different ways of attracting funding for projects.
In the past year, Ochiltree has seen the rebirth of its traditional Gala Day event, while a group of dedicated residents, led by local police officer Sean Mangan, have been looking into the possibility of attracting funding for a new Community Centre.
Now, Iain Clark, of Ochiltree Community Council, hopes as many people as possible come along to the specially-arranged meeting to submit ideas for future projects.
He said: 'We feel it is important that everyone comes together as a community, so that we are acting on setting up projects that the people would like to see, rather than what we as a Community Council want. Some of the ideas we are looking at include more projects like the hanging baskets, which were put up in the village a couple of years ago , plus we are hopeful of maybe getting Christmas lights in the village this year.
