Dumfires and Galloway Police have received a weather warning from the Met Office about snow spreading across the region this afternoon and into this evening.

Between 2 - 4 cm at lower levels and between 4 - 8 cm at higher levels can be expected.

Once again police warn drivers of the dangers of driving on such conditions and motorists are asked to check their route before setting off on a journey.
