A NEW book tells 300 years of local history - in Ayrshire Scots.
The new novel, 'The Man's The Gawd for a That' has been penned by New Cumnock man Jimmy Begg.
Weaving fact with fiction, he tells a humorous and at times harrowing tale of the tragic and often bloody history of Ayrshire. from the dark days of the Covenanters to the early 20th Century.
