UNEMPLOYED young people in East Ayrshire have been given a welcome boost after the Scottish Government invested almost �250,0000 in the area in an attempt to tackle its cripplingly high youth unemployment rate.
East Ayrshire Council was handed �248,000 in all to help combat the problem, having already been awarded �720,000 earlier this year.
The local authority was given a �720,000 grant to help implement their Opportunities for All programme.
