Pupils and staff at Cumnock academy have been celebrating a first-class inspector"s report which was published this week.
The report from Her Majesty"s Inspectorate of Education (HMIe) is thought to be one of the best reports published in recent times and has given high praise to staff and pupils for improvements made.
Head Boy and Girl Jordan Fleming and Katie MacKay said proudly: 'We have always known that the teachers in the school are brilliant. It"s great that the Inspectors have agreed what a fantastic school this is.'
Among points raised were the "strong lead" given by headteacher Gordon Bell and senior managers to improving the school, excellent improvement procedures and the friendly and confident young people actively involved in the school and the community.'
