A sickened Cumnock pensioner says she has resorted to installing CCTV cameras to protect her property from yobs who have targeted her home four times in two years.
And now Marion McGinn, 64 is worried that the stress caused by the vandals could trigger further health problems which she suffers.
As well as her fence being damaged, Ms McGinn claims the tearaways have damaged her car, smashed her shed window and torn down her hanging baskets.
Ms McGinn said: 'I had a stroke and major surgery last year, and this stress is the last thing I need.
'Since the surgery last year I have suffered from high blood pressure and I don"t need this.
'All I want is a quiet life. I"m just totally sick of it."
Sergeant Paul Quinn, from Cumnock Police Office, said they were aware of a number of incidents in the Emrys Avenue area over the past couple of months and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
He said: 'Obviously these kinds of incidents are totally unacceptable.
'Not only are they a nuisance and a distress to the victims but there is also a cost implicationas well in terms of the cost of repairing the fences, ect.'
