Death of Dogs is Criminal

Nottingham Police say that the death of two police dogs left during the hottest day of the year in the back of a van was "tragic incident."
Sorry, guys - it"s more than that.
It"s criminal.
Anyone who leaves an animal locked in a vehicle during the heatwave is not only as thick as raw sewage, they"re also guilty of a criminal act.
FOR GOD"S SAKE, DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN OR ANIMALS IN CARS IN THIS HEAT.
I don"t care what the reason is.
I don"t care how long these particular animals were there.
It"s a crime and should be treated as such, whether it"s a police handler - who should know better - or a Neo-Nazi with a pit bull.
I"ve written before about my old dog Bess, who has German Shepherd in her somewhere. She"s suffering in this heat and constantly seeks shade.
Think how bad it was for those two dogs trapped in a metal container slowly becoming an oven as temperatures outside hit 29 degrees.
No shade, no respite, no escape.
It"s a horrible, slow death.
While outside who knows how many men and women walked past unaware - or if the dogs were barking, ignoring - of the suffering a few inches away.
I"m sure the handler is desolate - and so he should be.
The Nottinghamshire force reported the incident themselves - and so they should have.
But no-one has been suspended and no-one as yet is facing charges.
If it had been you or I then we would have at least been cautioned while an investigation was carried out.
Tragic incident?
Criminal neglect more like.

Words fail me,so he's devastated is he this so called dog handler, I can think of much better words than that. Would he have done it with a child? No, thought not. what a miserable excuse for a human being, he ought to go the same way as the dogs, he'll A) know what it felt like and B) not get any sort of chance to do it again!!!!!

The officer should have been charged. Its as simple as that. If it had been you or I that had left those dogs in our vehicle we would have been. And don't hold your breath with the RSPCA doing an investigation, they are as much use as a chocolate fire guard.
