Cumnock Chronicle: St Patrick's pupils at the dig

THEY may have had a team of trained archaeologists on site but it was Cumnock’s school children who have managed to turn up some of the most interesting finds on a dig site in Lugar Street. The team from Northlight Heritage wrapped up work on the site of the former Tupp Inn after two weeks of back-breaking digging. But one school pupil from Logan Primary uncovered a piece of broken pottery which takes pride of place in the box of items gathered from the dig site. St Patrick's pupils are pictured above at the dig.
