New Cumnock Swimming Pool has been voted as one of the top 10 hidden gems in the UK, according to new data.

Bath retailer Showers to You looked to find where the quietest outside pools in the UK are to help you beat the crowds and stay cool.

New Cumnock's popular lido was voted as one of the places to be.

Each pool on the list is between 20-25m long.

Scotland’s only fresh water, outdoor, heated public lido – the Tamar Manoukian New Cumnock Swimming Pool - has become a huge hit with the locals, especially during the summer months.

However, it was still voted as the eighth 'hidden gem' across the UK.

The research looked at the amount of Instagram hashtags used to search for the popular pools.

New Cumnock pool has had only 184 hashtags used on the social media site, helping it sneak into the top 10, just ahead of Droitwich Spa Lido in Worcestershire with 195 hashtags.

The quietest pool for hashtags came from Jesus Green Outdoor Pool in Cambridge, with just three tags on Instagram.
