Jason was traced safe and well
Jason Philips, 13, has been traced safe and well in Cumnock after being missing since Friday afternoon.
Chief Inspector John Cairns has thanked the community for their help.
Jason had last been seen in Cumnock town centre at around 3pm on Friday. He was reported missing after he didn't return home.
A reported sighting of Jason in Wylie Crescent late last night led to a fresh police appeal this morning as well as specialist resources including the dog unit being called out.
