A CATRINE resident has been duped by a ruthless cold caller claiming to be a genuine tradesman.
He came to the man’s door, uninvited, and offered to carry out work on the roof of the property at Hillside, Catrine.
Part of the deal was that a sum of money, in the region of £400, would be paid upfront.
In good faith the resident, a professional man in his 50s, handed over the cash in advance of the work being done within a week or two.
