CONCERNED residents reported an incident of alleged dangerous driving in Cumnock.
Police were soon deployed to the town centre just after 7.30pm last Wednesday and were soon involved in a car chase.
It was brought to an end shortly after the driver of the vehicle reportedly crashed into a wall and knocked over a telegraph pole.
When the officers caught up with him at Ayr Road, near Bankhead Cottages he was amazingly still in one piece.
A spokesman for Cumnock Police said: “We can confirm that we attended a report made by a member of the public who was concerned at how a vehicle was being driven.
“A 19-year-old man was subsequently reported to the fiscal regarding several alleged offences at various locations.
“These include driving without a licence or insurance and failing to stop after a collision.”
