FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house fire in Auchinleck on Sunday afternoon, July 22.
They had been alerted to a fire in the kitchen of a property on Backrogerton Crescent at around 3.10pm.
The crew from Cumnock attended and had to break in when it was found that nobody was at home before they removed a pot which had been left on the cooker.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters from Cumnock responded to the report of a fire in the kitchen of a premise in Backrogerton Crescent, Auchinleck on July 22 at 3.11pm.
"Firefighters forced entry to the property and removed a pot which had been left on the cooker, no persons were within the property at the time of the incident."
