A MAN threatened to petrol bomb the home of a woman’s grandfather.
Kyle Shaw of Lovedale Crescent, Muirkirk, hurled abusive remarks at the complainer, attempted to stop her from leaving his house and slammed the front door.
The 31-year-old appeared before Sheriff Desmond Leslie at Ayr Sheriff Court last week.
Depute Fiscal Lindsay Bain said: “The complainer informed the accused that she was going to her mother’s. Shaw said she was not going anywhere and called her a s**g. He said her papa’s house would get petrol bombed and that he did not care about the consequences.
“The woman called her mother for assistance but Shaw told her to get into the f***ing house. He continued to shout at her.
“When her mother arrived they managed to get away and contacted police.”
Sheriff Leslie said: “There is nothing before me that suggests you are a serious abuser.”
He imposed a 12 months community payback order.
