MAUCHLINE’S annual Easter charity event was another roaring success.
From the minute a police vehicle brought the traffic to a halt on the A76 to the delivery of hundreds of eggs, another spectacular fundraiser made its way to Crosshouse Hospital.
Among the special guests were regular participant, our rock-and-roll provost Jim Todd, the Easter Bunny and bikers from all over the country for the Hillbillies MCC Egg Run 2018.
The provost, pictured left, had picked up a passenger on the way — Miss Ayrshire, Harriet Peace — before joining bikes of all shapes and sizes as they hit the road.
Support from the community was as enthusiastic as ever with donations adding to the grand total of £2,650.
Several good causes and charities are supported by the Hillbillies including Mauchline Holy Fair, Combat Stress, Macmillan Cancer Support and Clic Sargent.
