AN overturned lorry on the A76 south of Mennock resulted in a 30 mile diversion on Friday morning.
Drivers were diverted along the A702 towards Elvanfoot after the incident at around 8am.
Emergency services attended the scene and no one was injured in the accident
The road was reopened by 8am however, it was closed again between 10am and 12.30pm to allow for the lorry to be recovered.
There was severe disruption for some with the diversion route adding up to 50 minutes to journeys.
