A GROUP of pupils from Auchinleck Academy visited Glennie House as a joint project between the school and care home.
Money was secured from participatory budget events in Cumnock and Drongan to set up the scheme in conjunction with The Year of The Young Person.
It is officially called a partnership integrational project which involves pupils from Auchinleck Academy working with staff at Glennie House.
The pupils, all from S1, who are taking part are Rebecca Weir, Linzi Fulton, Abbilei Boyle, Mollie Wilson, Billie Wilson and Charlie Kerr.
Also involved from the school are classroom assistant Libby Wallace, activities co-ordinator Lyn McMenemy and community worker Mary Gladwell.
Vibrant Communities young persons’ mentor, Kieron Whitelaw, is taking part in the project as well.
