ST PATRICK'S DAY
St Patrick's Primary School in Auchinleck had a special guest for their St Patrick's Day celebrations.
Father Philip Kitchen led the school's celebrations with parents, friends and parishioners joining in.
Head teacher Catriona Gray said: "Father Kitchen led the school in celebrations for St Patrick’s Day. Our Primary 7 pupils were responsible for organising the hall.
"Parents, friends and parishioners from our three local parishes all came along to help us celebrate our school’s special day. We had mass in the morning and in the afternoon pupils had lots of St Patrick’s day activities and all pupils made our special green biscuits."
KNEX
The St Joseph’s Education Group recently held the Cluster Knex Final at St Joseph’s Academy. From the five cluster schools, a total of 10 teams took part. It was a hard fought competition but, in the end, Stephanie Sinon and Nuala Corr from St Patrick’s Primary came out as winners.
