A DJ from Logan is getting set to release his debut single.

Scott Teece’s song One Day will go live on Spotify on Friday as he bids to make music his life.

The civil engineering student has been DJ-ing for the past two years before he turned his hand at producing last year.

He told the Chronicle: “My song, One Day, is released on Friday. I have been learning to produce for about a year at PD studios.

“It’s amazing that my song will be released on Spotify. I’ve just been working away at it and I have been a DJ for the past two years. I think you get more of a chance to succeed in the music business if you produce.”

Scott, a house and techno enthusiast, describes himself as an up and coming DJ/producer but he has no lack of experience. The UWS student has taken on venues both local and abroad including SOMA, Fantoosh, the Box, the Flask, Club de Mar and SWG3.

He added: “I’m playing SOMA in Kilmarnock on April 6. I have also DJ-ed in San Antonio, Ibiza at such venues as Kilties, the Highlander and also PURE.”

Scott is among four DJs who will be on stage for SOMA’s House Matters on Friday, April 6 and you can catch his debut single, One Day, on Spotify from Friday, March 23.
