HANSEL’S 10th anniversary art exhibition was a ‘success’.
Art lovers from around Ayrshire came together to preview the charity’s annual Little Paintings Exhibition on Thursday, March 1.
The event featured works from artists such as Peter Howson, Lin Patullo, Helen M Turner, Gerard R Burns and Steven Brown.
Many paintings were bought, bringing in sales in excess of £4,000 for the charity on the first day alone.
Sheila McLean, Hansel Fundraising Manager, said: “There was a lot of competition for Gerard Burns’s ‘Red Coat in the City’ and Peter Howson’s untitled portrait of a troubled man.
“While some guests were seasoned art lovers there to purchase specific works by their favourite painters, others just came along on the day to support the charity and fell in love with a painting.
“I would like to say a big thank you to all the artists, to Steven Brown, to the students of the Little Art School who submitted paintings to the exhibition and of course our fantastic supporters.”
