LAST week saw the return of the snow to Cumnock, Doon Valley and Upper Nithsdale.
The area escaped the worst of the weather but still had to contend with an amber weather warning issued by the Met Office which ment schools closed on Thursday and Friday.
Public services were affected with few trains running after services were halted on Wednesday afternoon and buses were unable to reach parts the are including New Cumnock and Muirkirk.
The A76 was also closed at New Cumnock for part of Friday after a lorry became stuck on a hill and all scheduled football matches were called off for safety concerns.
Disruption to travel also ment that deliveries couldn't be made and supplies of petrol, bread and milk ran low.
However, there were some spectacular scenes to be found and our photographer Charlie Gilmour went out and snapped some great photos of them.
