PARENTS, pupils and staff at St Patrick’s Primary School enjoyed their annual Burns Celebration on Friday, February 9.
There were some rousing renditions of the Bard’s work with poetry, song, music and dance to entertain everyone. It was a tough decision for judges John Wilson, senior education group manager, and music instructor David Sullivan but after much deliberation, P7 pupil Paul Duffy was chosen as the overall Burns Champion.
St Patrick’s head teacher Catriona Gray said: “We invited along our parents and carers along with our two special guest judges. Mr John Wilson, one of our Senior Education Group Managers and Mr David Sullivan our Music Instructor. We had poetry, song, music and dance and the pupils got a great response from the audience.”
