Signalling problems at Barrhead are affecting services to Glasgow
TRAINS to Glasgow were delayed after signalling problems at Barrhead.
The problem had affected commuters travelling to and from New Cumnock, Auchinleck, Kirkconnel and Sanquhar as less trains were able to travel on the line between Dunlop and Barrhead.
Scotrail tweeted saying disruption was expected to last until 1pm as engineers worked to resolve the issue. The service has since returned to normal.
Ticket acceptance was in place with Stagecoach and affected commuters could change if needed at Kilmarnock to get the X76 bus into Glasgow.
