PUPILS at Greenmill Primary can start every school day the right way with a nutritious breakfast after the launch of its new breakfast club.
The club was started in partnership with Cash for Kids and the Greggs Foundation who are committed to delivering the club for a minimum of two years.
Greggs will provide food and equipment over the period to establish the club within the school.
Lynne Bennett, manager at Cash for Kids, said: “Breakfast clubs are about much more than just cereal and toast in the morning. Research shows that breakfast clubs can help children do better in school.
“The benefits are improved attendance and punctuality, improved behaviour and concentration and the opportunity for children to meet and communicate with others in a social setting.”
