TWO teachers from Mauchline are set to abseil down the Forth Rail Bridge to raise money for the Scottish SPCA.

Sally Harkiss and Jean Norman will take on the iconic Scottish structure on Sunday, October 15 and they have already smashed their original goal of raising £185 for the charity.

Primary school teacher Sally said: “I’m really excited to take part in the challenge. I’ve abseiled before but never from that height. It’s not going to be easy as we’re already very nervous but knowing that we’re raising money for such a great cause will get us over the edge.”

Scotland’s animal welfare charity will be there to support Sally and Jean as they abseil the 361-foot structure for Scotland’s animals To donate to Sally and Jean’s fundraiser visit: https://acefrb-oct2017.everydayhero.com/uk/spca-abseil-challenge.
