THERE is still time to nominate your healthcare hero for one of 17 awards being made later this year.
Nominations have been pouring in from across Cumnock and Doon Valley for the unsung heroes of the community.
Residents have until August 31 to out forward the healthcare worker, team or volunteer for recognition at this year’s Scottish Health Awards.
There are many therapists, GPs, specialist carers and volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes of NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
From each of the 17 categories, which cover every area of healthcare, a shortlist will be invited to the awards ceremony in Edinburgh this November.
Kirsty Lewis, an assistant practitioner in occupational therapy at Ayrshire Central Hospital, won the Care for Long-Term Illness Award last year.
Visit www.scottishhealthawards.com — nominations close at 5pm on Thursday, August 31.
