Street lights failed in Mauchline

Lights at the bottom end of Station Road have been out since Friday night with no sign of things brightening up.

Stewart Turner, head of roads at Ayrshire Roads Alliance said: “It would be very helpful if members of the local community could notify East Ayrshire Council when street lights aren’t working; especially during the summer months when it is light till late and it is not feasible to use evening scouts.

“This fault has now been recorded in our system and the street light team will work to ensure that a repair is carried out as soon as possible.”
