PROMPT action by firefighters prevented serious damage to a property in Cumnock.
They were called from the town’s fire station to a house in Glenlamont at 8.40pm on Tuesday, May 16, and were able to bring the blaze under control.
Officers wearing breathing equipment tackled the outbreak with a high pressure hose reel jet.
The owner of the property did not require medical treatment.
