STAFF from Heads of Ayr Farm Park have donated books and toys to the children’s ward at Crosshouse Hospital rather than see them go to waste.
The gift shop at the park was being cleared out and quick-thinking staff decided to put the toys to good use so they can help entertain children who aren’t feeling well.
Clinical nurse manager for paediatrics, Jean Davies, said: “We’re very grateful for this collection of books and toys and would like to thank the staff at Heads of Ayr Farm Park for thinking of us.
“Even a short stay in hospital can seem like a long time for young patients and having a new book to read or toy to play with can be such a welcome distraction and really help to brighten their day.”
