THE 174th Ayr County Show was back at the Racecourse this weekend for friends and families to enjoy.

Exhibitors and spectators enjoyed a good day out for the first major agricultural show of the season in the town.

Secretary, Lorraine Murdoch and Chairman, Jim Mair, would like to thank everyone who helps make this annual event the success it is.

They said: “We would like to thank everyone who gets involved every year from sponsors/advertisers, judges/stewards, members, stock exhibitors, trade stands and the fabulous committee who all work tirelessly to set up and dismantle the event at the wonderful venue of The Ayr Racecourse.

“Special thanks to Graeme Anderson and his team for helping with the groundwork and making the show ground and its surrounding a spectacle to the eye.

“The show holds a raffle each year to help with funds and we would like to thank everyone who donates prizes and off course to everyone who buys tickets.

“Most importantly we would like to thank everyone for coming along and making Ayr County Show 2017 the success it was.”
