SEVERAL groups of young people were in the spotlight at Cumnock's Dumfries Arms Hotel on Monday evening.

Yip World, who are based in Barrhill Road, were rewarding their personal and academic achievements in an event called One Big Celebration.

Families and friends proudly looked on as a series of awards were made in recognition of the accomplishments of the various groups who work with social enterprise.

Youth workers representing several organisations who also work in partnership with Yip World gave out the awards.

Robbie Allan and Scott Guy presented the After School awards, which was followed by a UBER girls presentation by Sandra Jedrysko, before Robbie gave a short talk.

Kiera Irvine then made the presentations to the Senior Drop-in participants before East Ayrshire Council head of education, Alan Ward, was introduced.

Chloe Millar and Gregor Henderson then spoke about the Inspiring Scotland 14:19 programme with Mr Ward presenting certificates to those taking part in the project.
