MAUCHLINE Post Office has found a new home that will see it open seven days a week.

The Post Office is opening a new Post Office ‘local’ service at the Key Store in Kilmarnock Road.

The new service will launch at 1pm on Wednesday January 25.

There will be two Post Office serving points in the store, where the Post Office terminals will sit alongside the retail tills.

Post Office services will be available, seven days a week, during the store’s opening hours, between 7am and 9pm from Monday to Sunday.

The new opening hours means that available services will increase by an extra 61 hours a week.

Local residents and small business customers will be able to access the wide range of Post Office and mails services, including Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns, and make online banking cash deposits and withdrawals, withdrawals using a Post Office Card Account, send funds abroad using Moneygram, pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.

The current Mauchline Post Office at 65 Loudoun Street in Mauchline, will close at 1pm on Wednesday 25 January.

Suzanne Richardson, Post Office Regional Manager said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

She added: “We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs. This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.”
