KEEN historians are being invited to share stories at a Dumfries House event for a new prisoner of war project.

Cumnock History Group recently landed a bumper £10,000 grant that will see them carry out a prisoner of war camp project at the former Pennylands Camp 22.

Now the group are looking for people to come to the launch event at Dumfries House to reminisce.

The event takes place this Friday, January 13 at 2pm at the Pavilion marquee at Dumfries House.

You can turn up and tell your story, share photos and information and see the latest findings for archaeological digs.

They are also looking for volunteers to interview people, research the camp and take part in future excavations.
