A Mauchline man and woman had a lucky escape from a fire
A MAN and woman ended up in hospital after a fire at their Mauchline flat.
Scottish Fire and Rescue were called to the scene on Sunnyside Crescent shortly before 4.30pm on Wednesday October 12 after a grill pan caught fire.
Firefighters forced entry to the property, and rescued the man and women who were both suffering from smoke inhalation.
Fire crews then isolated the power and removed the grill pan from the premise.
Both were checked by Scottish Ambulance Service and found to have no serious injuries.
