FIREFIGHTERS rushed to moooove a cow from Friesian water this week.
A crew from Dalmellington became cowboys for the day as they helped a farmer rescue one of his cows from the River Doon over the weekend.
The cow became stranded in the water at around 5.45pm on Saturday October 1.
Firefighters then had to chase the cow down river to shallow water to allow it to make its way back on to dry land and in to its field.
