A PARTY of juniors from the Muirkirk company of the Boys Brigade were guests of East Ayrshire Car Club at Sunday’s Sprint which brought the 2016 season to a close.
Some of the group are pictured here admiring the winning car, a Pilbeam MP88 driven by Stewart Robb from Stirling who has also won the British Sprint Championship on two occasions with the vehicle.
The youngsters were shown around the colourful cars in the Paddock before enjoying a picnic on site, all organised by Alan Rae and their parents voted the outing a big success.
Brilliant sunshine greeted the special guests as well as the spectators at Kames Motorsport Complex in Muirkirk with the final round of the Cross Border Speed Championship.
Stewart Robb was fastest of the 58 entrants, while runner-up was Penrith’s Colin Birkbeck in a 1140cc force PT racing car with third place going to David Seaton of West Linton.
