THREE people are in a serious condition after a Rangers supporters bus crashed on the A76.

The bus lost control at the Crossroads roundabout and overturned as members of the Nith Valley Rangers Supporters Club made their way to the Rangers vs Partick Thistle match at Ibrox.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and 18 people were take to hospital, three of them in a serious condition.

The A76 remains closed in both directions.

There were 36 people on board plus the driver at the time of the incident.

Crash scene investigators are conducting enquiries and examining the scene of the crash. Inspector Darren Faulds from the Road Policing Unit, said: "Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the crash and anyone with any information is asked to call road policing officers at Irvine Police Office on 101.”
