A MEETING in Cumnock to give voters more information on the EU referendum has been cancelled after the murder of MP Jo Cox.
The meeting at the Town Hall, which was set for Saturday, with local MP Corri Wilson has now been cancelled.
Initially the meeting was set to go ahead regardless, but the decision was made late on Friday afternoon to pull the plug on the event.
A Twitter post from Ms Wilson said: "Unfortuneately due to recent events the decision has been taken to cancel this event as a mark of respect."
The MP is now urging voters to get in touch with her if they have any questions ahead of the referendum on Thursday.
