MAUCHLINE is gearing up to host another year of its famous Holy Fair.

The fifteenth edition of the event takes place across the village on Saturday May 28 between 11am and 5pm with a raft of local entertainers getting the spotlight.

This years Holy Fair includes live music on the main stage from local talent and an excellent range of entertainment in Mauchline Parish Church.

There will be over 60 stalls to browse around as well as plenty to do for the kids.

Ayr Pipe band are marching from Mauchline Fire Station to Loudoun Car Park at 11am where they will join Stewart Allan solo piper who will officially open the event.

To the front of Poosie Nansies pub you will find an open mic platform which will give all visitors that chance to be in the limelight and there will also be special guests making an appearance for meet and greet sessions - Mickey Mouse, Doc McStuffin to name but a few.

There will be a Rabbie Burns themed fancy dress competition which will be judged at 3.30pm to the front of Poosie Nansies and all entrants should make their way over for 3.15pm.

On the bleaching green you will find Uncle Billy performing in the marquee and trampolines and water spheres there also. There will also be face painting and a petting zoo by Bunny Luv.

On the Cowgate there will be a fantastic display of modified cars for visitors to view and the best car prize winner will be chosen on the day.

Beechgrove Park will not only provide car parking this year but you will also find Scottish Assault Course from Catrine House set up around there for everyone to have a go.

Burns Museum and Nanse Tinnocks will be open on the day for visitors to view the village history.

The village is undergoing essential refurbishment in many areas at the moment and the organisers have apologised in advance for any inconvenience caused to those visiting for the event.
