THE local MP has been branded "glakit" in an astonishing online bust up.

The term was slung at Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock MP, Corri Wilson during a Twitter debate with George Foulkes, Lord Baron of Cumnock last week.

Ms Wilson shared a post with her Twitter followers about cuts to community centres in South Ayrshire.

Lord Foulkes was quick to get involved in a debate, telling her that the "Only way to stop SNP Gov. austerity cuts is #bothvoteslabour".

Ms Wilson pointed out that South Ayrshire Council is a Tory and Labour led administration and added: "Strange SNP led EAC choose to protect services."

Lord Foulkes then Tweeted: "This is the calibre of MPs the SNP have. Unable to recognise the real effect of SNP Govt cuts on councils!

"SNP Govt. cuts funding to councils yet glaikit SNP MP @CorriWilsonSNP fails to realise this means council cuts to services #BothVotesLabour"

Ms Wilson then fired back, saying: "Quite incredible @GeorgeFoulkes you've been in WM bubble for DECADES yet still don't understand the money trail..."
