Join the team at the National Trust for Scotland's Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in Alloway for a busy August with plenty of activities.

The full programme for August is: Workshops for Weans - Monday 5 to Friday 9 August - 10.00-12.00 Come to the Burns Cottage and have some fun and get crafty at our kids' holiday workshops. Suitable for age 5+. Tickets cost �5 per child per 2 hour workshop. Children must be accompanied by an adult Schedule: Monday - Print Making - Experiment, mix and explore all the different ways you can make beautiful prints. Prepare to get messy!

Tuesday - Song Journey - Get ready for a trip across Scotland and join in this interactive vocal voyage.

Wednesday - Cast the Past - Ever wondered how archaeologists cast a dinosaur's footprint? Join us to make your very own fossil cast.

Thursday - Time Machine Periscope - Ever wanted to travel back in time and spy on people from the past? Well travel with us to Burns cottage in the 1700s.

Friday - Missing Manuscript - Be a detective and find the manuscript - read a map, work with fossils, solve a riddle and even travel back in time!

Rambling Rosie's Saturday Stories at RBBM - 17 August - 13.00-16.00 Storyteller Rosie Mapplebeck will lead you on a magical trip around Robert Burns's Alloway. Meet at the Museum.

Summer Fun! - Every Tuesday-Thursday throughout August - 09.00-17.00 Fun workshops for families. Take part in fun workshops for families; try Journey Journals, ceilidh dancing or family ranger sessions. Contact us to book.

'Burns & Biodiversity' - 18 August - 14.00-15.00 Join Robert Burns Birthplace Museum Learning Manager, Chris Waddell, as he takes a light hearted look at local wildlife and the Scots language we use to describe it.

Book Club & Cupcake Cafe - 27 August - 14.30-15.30 Come along to our book club meeting at Burns Cottage. Read a wide variety of books, most of which will be supplied free. Coffee and cake only �2 for members.

Ayrshire Gift Market & Ayrshire Farmers Market - 31 August - 1 September - 11.00-16.00 Join us for a weekend of craft and enjoy a range of local produce from our market stalls. The Gift Market runs from 11.00-16.00 across both days while the Farmers' Market runs only on the Sunday from 11.00-15.00.
