Representatives from organisations and businesses from all over Ayrshire came together at a special event which recognised their work in helping to make their employees healthier. This event also provided a platform where people could share good practice and developments.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran's Healthy Working Lives team provides local businesses and organisations with health, safety and wellbeing advice and support. They are then encouraged to make the workplace healthier and, following assessments, are eligible for one of three Healthy Working Lives awards - Bronze, Silver and Gold.

The event was opened by Mr Steve Bell, Strategic Director for the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives. He outlined the national importance of the Healthy Working Lives agenda and the links to the Scottish Government's Health Works strategy.
