Lugar boss Alan Cotton has described his pride at watching his troops reach the Final of the Ardagh Glass Cup on Saturday.
And he hopes the 3-1 win over Hurlford will serve as a parting shot at the critics who doubted his side's right to be still in the competition.
Cotton admits he has been hurt by some 'nasty' comments aimed at the Rosebank Park club in the wake of their controversial path to the Final. They lost 7-3 to Girvan in the last eight, only to be readmitted after Girvan were disqualified for fielding ineligible players.
But on Saturday they showed they are in the Final on merit by ousting a Super League First Division side on their own patch.
