WHALEN HUNTERS HARPOON TARGET
By Craig Winning
District League side Craigmark have pulled off a notable transfer coup after announcing that they have completed a deal to bring Stephen Whalen back to Station Park.
Former Ayr United and Leeds Striker Whalen has been plying his trade at Glenafton.
But a deal with the two clubs was finalised on Saturday with Whalen featuring in Craigmark’s 9-1 victory over Kilmarnock Amateurs in a pre-season friendly.
Craigmark secretary Tom Farrell was delighted with the unexpected and believes Whalen’s experience will bring a lot to what is a young side.
