Christine Mitchell with UK Weightwatchers Head Mads Ryder present James Ramage with his Gold Certificate.

A Muirkirk man who has lost nearly seven stone this year with a little help from Weightwatchers has admitted - “it has made me a different man.”

Jim Ramage, 64 was one of the first NHS referrals to the Weightwatchers class in Cumnock, run by Christine Mitchell.

Doctors had concerns that his weight was beginning to affect his health but he admits now he is a different man after losing 12 inches from his waistline

Having previously tipped the scales at almost 20 stones the new look Jim now weighs in at a slim 13 stone 7lb.

Jim says he owes it all to Weightwatchers, and in particular the Cumnock class.
